Another contrasting weekend, from Scotland to Suffolk!  It really could not be any more different.  And Suffolk is yet another new destination for me.  Its got some very good nature reserves very  by some of which I managed to explore during the visit, and I wasnt dissapointed, the area is beautiful .  There is some excellent walking in the region and we managed three coastal walks and along the valley just upstream of Claydon and it was all very very beautiful. So much so I am going back in April.  Enjoy the photos from this trip

Ah put simply one of the best weekends of the year!  Some stunning scenery, a cracking cottage, some wild wild munros, and food that just keeps on growing in growing!!!  What a location, 14miles from the road, its a very long walk to the pub!  So this weekend is a stay in weekend.... We just hope that we've brought everything we need, and enough petrol to get out-ey jen!!!  Still excellent walking in one of the remotest parts of scotland is what we came for and it is a very special place indeed.  Enjoy the photos...

I cant get much further away for the next weekends or much different, its off to the very flat new Forest.  Here we were hoping to get the finest autumnal colours but its so difficult to judge, this weekend last year the trees had nearly shed their leaves but this year, only the chestnuts, lymes and sycamores have changes, the spectacular that is assocaited with the fall is the change that comes with the oaks and very few of the had changed.  But not to be put off we set off the groups on some lovely walks and the sunshine helped our spirits and the views.  Click here to see the photos

Ah dont you just love Scotland.  This is the weekend after the hour goes back and the shorter days have their downfall.  So its head torches back in the bag, early starts and log fires in the evening.  To top that we struck it lucky but you wouldnt have thought so when we departed the hotel each morning but the skies gradually cleared each day to reveal some of the most wonderful autumnal moody mountains ever... you'll really enjoy the photos of this weekend

Just down to the peak district for the weekend gave us a total array of weather.  A lovely stroll out of Hayfield took us up to Kinder Downfall and gave us some wonderful lighting over the surrounding hills... only perfect.  Have a look at the views for youself in these lovely photos

Another new destination... not one that I am very familiar with.  Andy W. went out on this trip with Don and they and all the group had a great time.  I currently only have the photos that they sent me but hopefully I will get some more to share with you.
Have a look here to see the first few shots

Ah, its been over a year since I have managed to get down to Pembrokeshire and I have missed it.  A stunning array of coastline, combining rugged cliffs, hidden bays, seals, sea birds make for some truely beautiful coastal scenery.  However there is sooo much more to Pembrokeshire than its stunning coastline.  Inland lie a wonderful arraay of hills and this helps to add variety to this wonderful area.  If you've not visited the area or if you simply wish to revist it have a look at these photos

Ah one of my personal favourite parts of the world, The magical Isle of Skye.  Last year it was amazing with 7 days of stunning weather and amazing scenery.  3 guides taking 3 parties out each day and it was great, that set some very high standards for this year especially with a hurricane due in on the Sunday evening and set to blow for two more days.  This was going to be a challenge, but we juggled the routes, swapped days off and generally made the most of it.  I think you'll agree from the photos that we all managed to get some cracking views of the island.... still want to go back even more

Just a short hop along the coast brings us to Newton Abbott where we are joined by a few others.  The weather was great, the walks were excellent, one day along the coast from Kingswear to Brixham, another day we walked on the rocky tors of Dartmoor and our final day saw us exploring the wonderful coastline from Teignmouth to Torquay... A truely beautiful part of the world, I cant wait to visit it again sometime very very soon.
