The Walking Programme: The area is wonderful for walkers of all levels and abilities of walkers. Our plan will be to walk from the centre on the Saturday with an intended route into the heart of the Arrochar Alps. Here there lies the distinguished Ben Arthur, better known as the Cobbler, not quite a Munro, but a truly delightful mountain in its own right. If all is going well, the open country provides an access to Benn Narnain or A’Chrois, but we’ll see how we’re doing on the day. On Sunday we may well take on a slightly easier option, the stretch of the West Highland Way along Loch Lomond can be accessed by ferry and is a delightful rocky walk. It passes through the RSPB reserve and Rob Roys Cave, alternatively there are also some lovely stretches in the Tay Forest which provide some lovely views across the loch and surrounding area.

To allow you to choose a walk that suits you best, WalkWise UK will provide a professional and knowledgeable walking guide. On Saturday there will be a hard walk of 10-12 miles and on Sunday an easier walk of 6-8 miles with less ascent.  We can offer a full range of grades at this centre please check that the grades offered are suitable for your group.

Around the Hotel: Arrochar is a small village with a couple of pubs, restaurants and village shops. There are craft shops in the area and other attractions and cruises a short drive away. The idyllic village of Luss, with its visitor centre is one of the finest villages in Scotland. Please ask our guides on the weekend for any further information.
