This  Country House Hotel is ideally situated on the outskirts of Grasmere village in the beautiful surroundings of Easedale. It now blends the charm and atmosphere of its past with a relaxed atmosphere and great hospitality. Most rooms are en-suite, twin or triple bedded rooms and all have courtesy trays and colour TV’s. The hotel has a bar and 2 comfortable lounges where you can relax in the evenings.

This package can be 'self guided'.  However, if you want advice or guides (see Typical Guided Walking Programme below) simply  contact us!

The typical walking programme:  The area is perfect for all levels and ability of walkers, with pleasant gentle strolls and more challenging walks over the fells. To allow you to explore this region to the maximum during your visit WalkWise UK would suggest that you include the following areas into your itinerary:

To allow you to choose a walk that suits you best, WalkWise UK will provide a minimum of two walks on each day, led by professional and knowledgeable walking guides. On both days there will be a hard walk of 10-12 miles and an easier walk of 6-8 miles with less ascent.  We can offer a full range of grades at this centre please check that the grades offered are suitable for your group.

Around the hotel: It is a short stroll into the beautiful village of Grasmere, with many local and traditional shops, as well as a number of local pubs. For the non walker there are the homes of William Wordsworth and there are many other museums to visit, and the opportunity to cruise across Lake Windermere on the Swan or Teal. In the evening you can relax in the comfortable lounges of the hotel or wander to the nearby village pubs.
