Is in a tastefully modernised guest house. The house has a variety of single, twin and double rooms, some of which are ensuite. There is also a large dinning room, bar, a television room and a spacious lounge overlooking the Edale Valley. They can cater for a wide variety of tastes and diets, but in general they have a good reputation for wholesome and appetising meals. You can also rest assured that this location is away from the crowds, although it is only a short walk down the lane to the local pubs.

This package can be 'self guided'.  However, if you want advice or guides (see Typical Guided Walking Programme below) simply  contact us!

The typical walking programme:  The area is perfect for all levels and ability of walkers, with pleasant gentle strolls, and also some more challenging walks over the moors. To allow you to explore this region to the maximum during your visit WalkWise UK would suggest that you include the following areas into your itinerary:

To allow you to choose a walk that suits you best, WalkWise UK will provide a minimum of two walks on each day, led by professional and knowledgeable walking guides. On both days there will be a hard walk of 10-12 miles and an easier walk of 6-8 miles with less ascent.  We can offer a full range of grades at this centre please check that the grades offered are suitable for your group.

The area around the house is ideal for walking and some of the walks can start from the house.

Around the hotel:  For the non-walker, the house is within easy reach of the interesting villages of Hope and Castleton. There is a myriad of typically picturesque villages to explore. In addition there are numerous caverns and caves, as well as cafes, stately homes, museums to be visited.
