The large Victorian House accommodates up to 43 people in single, twin, double and triple rooms. The centre is fully centrally heated and has a commanding position over Derwentwater. The centre has two comfortable lounges to relax in during the evening as well as a games room and bar, there is even a very efficient drying room! Their catering has a good reputation amongst walkers for ‘good wholesome food’. Overall this is an excellent centre to explore the northern fells of the park.

This package can be 'self guided'.  However, if you want advice or guides (see Typical Guided Walking Programme below) simply  contact us!

The package includes:

Saturday      breakfast, picnic lunch and 7.00pm dinner

Sunday         breakfast, picnic lunch

Changing facilities may also be made available on the Sunday Evening.

The typical walking programme:  The area is perfect for all levels and ability of walkers, with pleasant gentle strolls, and more challenging walks over the fells. To allow you to explore this region to the maximum during your visit WalkWise UK would suggest that you include the following areas into your itinerary:

To allow you to choose a walk that suits you best, WalkWise UK will provide a minimum of two walks on each day, led by professional and knowledgeable walking guides. On both days there will be a hard walk of 10-12 miles and an easier walk of 6-8 miles with less ascent.  We can offer a full range of grades at this centre please check that the grades offered are suitable for your group.

Around the Guesthouse: Keswick is a delightful market town, located in the heart of the Lake District. There are many museums and unusual shops to explore as well as numerous pubs, many featuring great live bands during the evenings. There are also other attractions and cruises to keep the non-walker entertained on this weekend. Please ask our guides on the weekend for any further information.
