The
Cobbler
Arrochar the first village in the West Highlands is fittingly
dominated by the craggy peaks of the Arrochar Alps. Loch Lomond the
largest freshwater 'lake' in Britain shows the contrast between Highland and
Lowland. The north: narrow, steep-sided and very deep. The southern reaches:
broad, shallow and dotted with delightful, wooded islands. Part of the charm
also lies in the many delightful bays and villages such as Luss, Tarbet and
Ardlui around its shores.
