Throughout its history this country has seen many battles resulting in numerous castles that dot the skyline; mostly built during the reign of Edward I. The Druids Some of Britain's best loved walking can be found in the Welsh countryside. It varies from mountain massifs of the rugged Snowdonia , open moorland of the Brecon Beacons, through to the lush valleys and lakes around Bala in central Wales.
