You cant knock it, its simply a wonderful part of Scotland. Lying at over a 1000ft it also makes access to the high mountains somewhat easier and we took full advantage of any height we could. We even managed to get lucky and dodge the showers to enjoy some wonderful days out in the hills.... Very very happy days.... click here for the photos
A bit of a different weekend to a very infrequented part of the lake district, even on a bank holiday we hardly encountered another walker!!! I know there are very few people who would believe that but its true, a superb weekend away, some amazing scenery and some very happy smiley people, for the photos click here
What a beautiful part of the world, its Yorshire, its the dales but technically very little of the walking is within the yorkshire dales national park. That said I have no idea why because its simply beautiful scenery... perhaps less well know than other dales and valleys but there is no doubt as to its individual beauty, to see the photos click here
Ah back up to my home area, I love the North Yorkshire coast, its so often over looked. but it has some superb walking, Filey to Scarborough and the Ravenscar to Scalby does give you some wonderful opportunities to see some wonderful coastal scenery, towering cliffs, big seas, secluded bays, lovely! ... And the inland walking is pretty good too. Click here to view the photos
Back down South, this time to the Isle of Portland for some more wonderful walking along the South Dorset Coast. Mixed weather but it was a cracking weekend, good company and some lovely scenery. To see the photos click here
