Sorry for the delay, was a rather good trip, and its taken a little bit of an effort to recover!!! Full of great days and Great nights! Photos-click here-they are worth a look!
The weekend got off to a great sociable start with the local pub supplying great beer, and great entertainment, superb singers simply gor better with the evening and by the end of the night there were some very healthy happy looking folk! Saturday dawned quite brightly and it was a great walk over to Watersmeet cafe up through the deep combes and back along the coast for a well earned thirst quencher in Lynmouth! Some even had chips!!! But the group began to tire and was forced to take the cliff railway back up to the hotel!!!
Sunday saw the numbers switch, the hard walk was reduced to a few hard core, was it something to do with elvis not leaving the building the night before!!! We were then all forced to take coffee in the hunters inn to allow some unfortunate soles a little recovery before heading out along the coast and a great walk through the valley of the rocks.
Sadly our final day dawned and we decided to do a happy sociable walk all together on Exmoor and what a walk it was too, beautiful, merlins dancing in the sky, song birds singing everywhere, spring had finally arrived. We wandered down off the moors skirted through delightful hamlets, meandered through bluebell woods and said hello to the exmoor ponies before returning back to the cars-but no one wanted to leave!!!! So it was off down to Lynmouth to conclude the day with a fish supper on the quayside, and watch Kim feeding the ducks, c
