Perfect Days and perfect nights would be the perfect way to discribe this perfect weekend in the Gower!!! Off course it did not start that way and the group arrived looking down hearted and as the rain fell I could hear rumours circulating about "not another Swampage" But we held the faith and kept believing and we were rewarded, the sun came out and it was perfect!! Worm head to Oxwch was stunning, we were typical english abroad in wals and even managed chips and ice cream on the Beach all to be washd down with an excellent pint or two, only perfect, (except for the occassional flight of steps in the woods!) Then it was on to the evening, perfect food perfectly presented with perfect quanities, what could top that-Answer Dave!!! Who knew that boy could sing, dance and perform, what a boy!!! Excellent work 12 out of 10 I would say-X factor here you come!!!
Then onto Sunday and it was back to the coast, this time, the section from 3 cliffs bay to Mumbles, first we found Hilarys' lost castle, before we joined the coast in search of the famous Choughs, we searched and searched and had to take a break for ice cream before we eventually heard the illusive birds calling in the distance! Meanwhile the others were taking a well earned dip and were swimming and Sunbathing, but how do you get gloss paint on your swimming costume???
Another day dawns with more sunshine, so its off down to the coast for some, this time to the amazing Pembrey Sands. A lovely open forest runs right down to a huge beach! And this is what we came for. We strolled through the forest, looking at so many butterflys; fritillarys, comas, meadow blues, red admirals, peacocks tortoise shells, cabbage whites and many more, but the beach proved hard to find! Eventually we popped out and it was awesome, miles of open empty perfect sands, just beautiful so we finished the day off with a 3 mile paddle in the shallows- only perfect!!!
Oh and I nearly forgot in case you dont believe me- here's the photos
And Quote of the weeked "I like it bif and hard" but I wont put your name to it!!!
