Well you could hardly tell it was a bank holiday, everyone arrived on time for dinner, some long journeys but no hold up.. except on Jenny!!!! ;-) !!! The weather was set to be good and there were no crowds, so what was going on well this part of Pembrokeshire is very simply not very well known, but that doesnt take away from its stunning scenery-quite simply its one fo the best stretches of coastline in the uk- add to this a hotel perched high on a cliff overlooking Cardigan Bay- a spa with steam room, jacuzzi, sauna and pool- a perfect start!!!
Our first Day saw us heading along the coast from Fishguard, around Dinas Head to Newport, with time for ice creams and even a paddle!!!! Sorry folks just couldnt resist it!!! I enjoyed it and one lady finished the walk in her pants-your know the first!!!
A great day out and some interesting locals in the pub-I believe there is still a queue outsite room 36!!!!
Sunday dawned overcast so we headed out to complete a traverse of the Preselli Hills, which is a single linear and beautiful ridge which includes rocky tors ancient hill forts and some superb panoramic view points along the way. However its main claim to fame is that its the source of the stones-of henge fame!!! How they moved them all that distance is simply gob smacking, some of our people were winging about driving that far!!!!!
Monday, another perfect dawn and many headed back early to get their ironing done before the week began, but they missed the best day!!!! Blue skies, blue seas, barking and seals and basking babes, or was that the other way around!!! Still a perfect day!!! Enjoy the photos and thanks for smiling and laughing so much... not had such a good weekend since....last weekend!!!
