And so it comes to us all, back to work.... but first need to do a rece for the cross peak challenge in the summer, so its off for a quick yomp around the roaches before the group arrives and what a lovely day for it, blue skies clear skies, trees all in bud, its like summer has arrived, hope it last longer than last year-well at least to the weekend would be good!!!
Lots of new faces on this weekend, buy they all seem very happy and settle down for dinner and there is a good level of chatter from each table which definately sounds positive-but then buy 1am everyone is in bed, whats happened to you all-perhaps they are saving themselves! Saturday morning dawns and there is optomisticaly a few brighter spots in the skye so things are looking up-but then its seems to be one of those days! I accidentally brought a gluten free salad with pasta in it-ooops apologies, will be more careful in future!!! Then the coach driver failed to get into the car park and got lost on the way to the start-did i mention I thought it was going to be one of those days-what else, oh the walks, well they were great. Dons harem wandered around the hills, sunbathing and absorbing the tranquil views and managed their bit in keeping the rural economy going by visiting not one but two rural refreshment establishments! Meanwhile the harder group, climbed ringing roger and circumnavigated the perimiter of Kinder before descending down to the sunny vales Hayfield, with only a few minor scratches along the way!
After all that a good sauna with the men in speedos and a relaxing swim revived the group for dinner and a little relaxing banter, myself and Charles have learned a lot!!!
Sunday saw Don having to giude some men!!! He shot off to the Goyt valley and Shining Tor where he dished out some real pain to Jen, who I believe is still aching!! Meanwhile a very pleasand stroll was occuring through Lyme Park, passing the Hall and the CAGE not to forget the famous lake! But sadly for the ladies there was no reenactment of the pride and predudice scene-sorry girls! Oh and to see the photos click here
